Vidyasagar, a speech-language pathologist and Cornerstone’s founder and clinical director, opened the first centre in Kalyan Nagar in 2014. Therapy options for children were difficult to find, and families needed a place that could listen carefully, assess properly, and explain the next step without pressure. The beginning was small enough for every decision to stay close to the child.

A mother told her sister. A father told a colleague. Paediatricians sent worried parents. That gradual word of mouth built a multidisciplinary team and a second centre at Dr. Shivarama Karanth Nagar. Most families still arrive because another family or professional told them where to begin, so trust remains something the team has to earn in practice.

Today the practice works across two centres, but the useful test remains simple: understand the child in front of you, make the plan around that child, and be direct when another provider would fit better. Fees are published, goals are explained, and a family should know what a service can and cannot offer before deciding. Growth only matters if that clarity survives it.
